Watch for the "big" one in Beijing Olympics

I thought always having something to blog about was going to be a challenge It seems that there is another performance enhancing drug on the market and it is not being on the Olympic committee’s list of prohibited drugs and is not so far being banned. It has however attracted the attentions of World Anti-Doping Agency, who is studying the effects on athletes.
The increase the effects of nitric oxide, which expands blood vessels, this then should allow more oxygen to be carried to the lungs, and Improve heart functions. Sildnafil is manufactured by Pfizer, originally as a heart drug. You may recognize it by it’s common name Viagra. It is said that it’s use as a treatment for erectile dysfunction was discovered by accident. (I must here that story ).
The director of the Olympic Analytical labs at UCLA, Anthony Butch stated “Just because you have more nitric oxide doesn’t mean that you are going to be a better athlete.”
Maybe not Mr. Butch, but my main concern is the pole vaulting competition!

It’s a shame, that in this day and age, that people have to overlook the beneficial points of Viagra. So what if it makes you harder than a steel rail. It’s good for your heart. Please, Mr. and Mrs. Olympic judges, don’t ban this drug from the use in the 2008 Olympics. It could make for a definite improvement in the television ratings. I, for one, would watch just to see the members of the Olympics in all their heart engorged glory!
Leave it to my old man to always post some “hard” facts in his blog!
