What are some of your favorite software that you just have to have and can’t live without? Is there software that you pay for or do you use what is free for use?
I use FireFox as my browser, I think it has come a long way, I like the ability to add little useful programs that make life surfing enjoyable. Anyone else remember Netscape? I think it was the very first one I used. My have we progressed.
I also have to recommend VLC media player it will play anything I though it’s way and not worry about the right codecs installed, does an awesome job. There are tons of free software available.
Instead of me telling you about all that I think is great, check out this post on Lifehacker, “Free Software We Are Thankful For “. It’s a great post and lists 46 programs there has to be a couple there you can use.
I am going back to recheck the list!

Some of my favorite software are Firefox 2.0 (if it isn’t broke don’t fix it, LOL), I also love a paid program Nagarsoft Direct Access, which is an autotype software that I use as a launcher along with RocketDock.
A tool I use everyday is Deskpins to keep windows always on top, it’s a very productive tool.
I also recently started using free program called Direct Folders that lists shortcuts to the folders you choose. For years I have been using freeware Media Player Classic, to me it has more usability than VLC
